Working within the Contract team, we are currently seeking candidates for the role of Optimiser:

Job Description:

  • To continually assess the diary for potential opportunities for optimisation and to drive down installation costs.
  • Review all opportunities in WIP to maximise utilisation of direct installers.
  • Deal swiftly and effectively with any potential booking conflicts.
  • Develop the planning function amongst the Internal Account Managers to increase the percentage of right first time allocation.
  • Build a rapport with Regional Installations Managers to ensure sufficient installation and survey resource is available to meet customer demand.
  • To work with account managers to enable correct and fair re-allocation of work.
  • Generate Field Aware process improvements for the planning function.
  • Be attuned to financial implications of decisions, in particular with the usage of subcontractors.
  • Deliver trend analysis on job types, travel times, costings & job durations.

Required Skills and Competencies for the Role:

  • Proven experience in a project planner or programme scheduler role in any industry sector or data analysis/reporting role.
  • Comfortable with interpreting statistics to improve operational excellence.
  • Can scan through diarised appointments quickly but effectively to pick out the anomaly within the schedule.
  • Have the ability to work in a logical fashion, but when called upon ‘think outside the box’ to get the right scheduling solution.
  • Can deal with ‘chaotic’ scenarios and ‘change’ with calmness.
  • A relationship-builder who can communicate to stakeholders at all levels, in particular between the field and the office.
  • Able to demonstrate an appreciation of business strategy and a strong sense of prioritisation.
  • To have the aptitude to switch frequently between both ‘short term’ and ‘long-term’ planning..
  • Proactive engagement and appropriate escalation to the Planning Manager to meet programme timelines; displaying calmness under pressure.
