Payroll & HR Coordinator

Home Décor (GB) Ltd is currently seeking a Payroll & HR Coordinator to support the HR function based in Sheffield, the main responsibilities of the role will be:-

 

  • To deliver the monthly and weekly payroll using Sage 50 Payroll, accurately and in line with company policies
  • To carry out monthly and annual reporting and processes in connection with payroll and HMRC requirements
  • To ensure employee information received from departmental Managers relating to pay and attendance is accurate and received on time
  • To provide general administrative support to the HR function
  • Assist the HR Manager in advising managers and employees on company policy and procedure within agreed parameters
  • Assist with the management of recruitment processes for the business
  • Maintain employee records, providing management information as required

 

Applicants should posses:-

 

  • A thorough understanding of Payroll processes and procedures including
  • Statutory Tax and NI calculations
  • Statutory/Occupational Maternity/Paternity/Adoption payments
  • Statutory/Occupational Sickness payments
  • Student Loans & Statutory Recoveries
  • Understanding of taxable benefits and expenses
  • P11d processing at year end
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of HMRC statutory payroll requirements including a working knowledge of RTI and pension auto-enrolment
  • Experience of working within a HR team with an awareness of basic employment law
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Able to work independently and take control of own day/workload
  • Ability to prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are achieved
  • Able to demonstrate an organised approach and attention to detail
  • CIPP and/or CIPD qualification desirable

 

Salary: dependant on experience

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week worked from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 2.30 pm on Fridays with a 30 minute unpaid mealbreak each day.
